Family Caregiver Support
Empowering Caregivers, One Step at a Time
Knowledge is one of the biggest challenges for caregivers, as you simply don’t know what you don’t know. Caregivers are often expected to learn as they go, quickly navigating and responding to challenges as they arise. Yet, many can’t do this alone. Most caregivers need some external support.
It helps to have someone to ask, to bounce ideas off.
Our team of experts is here to make the process easier. We offer two tailored services that provide the information and support you need: Caregiver Advice and Dementia Care Consulting.
We understand caregivers are super busy and offer various ways to connect with us.

Dementia Care Consulting
The dementia journey is unique. It is a long and slow process from diagnosis to death, one that includes countless losses and griefs along the way. Family members often experience a strange mix of stress and joy, with some moments being incredibly difficult, while others bring much longed for heartfelt connection.
The unfamiliarity of dementia adds to the challenges. Family members often don’t know what to expect or how best to cope with the condition. Practical, spiritual, and emotional challenges can weigh heavily, making everything much more difficult.
Indeed, dementia care is often counterintuitive. It’s easy to default to trying to manage the senior’s behavior or regularly re-orient them into the present moment. Yet, the most powerful tools for dementia care are often more mindful and person-centered.
Regardless of where a person is in their dementia journey, support can make the world of difference. Families often need someone who is consistently available and is emotionally sensitive. Someone who can help them understand difficult behaviors and changes in personality, someone who understands the unique grief that comes with dementia and can act as a guide.
As consultants, we can help you better understand how to support a loved one with dementia. This includes providing advice, answering questions about specific challenges, and being a supportive presence. Angelica's Certified Dementia Practitioner training ensures you receive high-quality advice that's tailored to your specific situation.
